The GOTS Annual Meeting is the platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
Training and education of young doctors in orthopaedic sports medicine is an essential focus of the work of GOTS. To achieve these goals, GOTS offers a comprehensive education and training programs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and a fellowship program in Europe and Asia. Beyond that, the GOTS publishes the journal „Sportorthopaedie – Sporttraumatologie“ and the „GOTS-Manual der Sporttraumatologie“.
Thanks to the membership of physicians of various sport associations and of national Olympic teams GOTS is closely connected with competitive sports medicine. The transfer of their experience and knowledge takes place as part of their annual educational course for medicine in competitive sports.
