GOTS Sports Doctor Certificate

Raise your personal level of competence

Earn an expert qualification in Sports Orthopaedics and Sports Traumatology

  • Sideline and on-site care of the athletic team
  • Management of emergency situations in athletics and physical activity
  • Expertise in the diagnosis of acute/chronic sports injuries
  • Conservative and surgical therapies
  • Return to sports counselling
  • Trauma prevention
  • Elite and recreational, adolescent and veteran athletes

Requirements for issuance of the “GOTS Sports Doctor” certificate

Basic training (four 2-day courses)
GOTS membership
Activity in the field of sports orthopaedics
Completion of medical training at a university in Austria/Germany/Switzerland
Re-certification by attending the GOTS Annual Congress

Organisation

Central coordination by GOTS and local organisation of the courses under the patronage of GOTS

Number of participants

The number of participants is limited.
The organizers reserve one or two seats free of charge for members of the Young Academy.

Target audience

The courses are addressed to young and future sports orthopaedists and sports physicians.

Withdrawal

Up to four weeks before the start of a module a cancellation is possible and free of charge. After that, the course charges cannot be repaid.
